I created this design as a personal reflection on the relentless cycles we find ourselves in—the constant hum of labor, the fleeting moments of rest, and the desperate need for play before the inevitable end. The Work Rest Play Die T-Shirt is my tribute to the raw, unpolished energy of the 1980s anarcho-punk movement, drawing deep inspiration from the Subhumans and the seminal No Future sentiment of the Sex Pistols. It is not just a piece of clothing to me; it is a visual manifesto for those who feel the weight of the status quo but still find a reason to dance with a boombox in the face of it.

The graphic is split into four high-contrast panels, capturing a grainy, Xerox-distorted aesthetic that feels like it was pulled straight from a 1977 underground fanzine. I chose a spiked-haired character to represent that persistent outsider spirit, using messy ransom note typography to emphasize the DIY nature of the punk counterculture. The final panel, featuring a tombstone and the anarchy symbol, serves as a stark reminder of the No Future ideology—a call to live authentically and reject corporate greed while we still can.
